Gently their world now breathes fresh life
into a dormant winter’s heart;
for behold the leaves are rife
with fragrance, zest and strength to start
their lives anew as hopes impart.
His arms, her eyes unfurl a wing
unhurried. She reveals her face;
a thousand blooms that are hiding
suddenly opens an ice-chilled place,
when vows reseal pale love with grace.
From cold nights, one lesson they learn...
burying faith down to the ground
is trite. A point of no return
from chains they refuse to be bound,
affirming to stay... godly crowned.
