Street lights aren't good at consoling They are too high up Their posture unchanging Eventually their glare feels mocking Perhaps they don't care at all... Did they muster a 'there, there'? I don't believe they did But they seem to still be doing all they can Anthropomorphizing down a dead end street That's sadness for you
