There is a voice inside of me,
always pleading loud to be free;
from the dark abyss of my mind,
where my past and present have twined;
oh, I write my words with a plea.
Quietly, I pen filigree,
words for the whole wide world to see;
I set them free to soar- unsigned,
pieces of my heart.
I let go of all my debris,
the sorrow and monsters all flee;
thousands of me I leave behind,
those who shattered me so unkind;
oh, my words drift over the sea,
pieces of my heart.
