Pain

when you smile at me I watch the curve of your lips as they part to speak- then I heed the sad whispers of a torn, grief stricken heart

Ahhhh!! Grief so deeply felt from these lines. It is hard to watch another person suffer in deep grief and there is really nothing that can be done to help them through other than to listen. It takes time and more time. Thanks for sharing this one with us. Sara K

Intriguing Tanka, Valsa. You gave me something to think about with the ending. Hugs, Bill

This is touchingly presented, Valsa. A guide to the tension between what is revealed and that which is veiled. A FAVE for me. Thank you, Gershon

Valsa, you've successfully mixed two different feelings. It's the twist in your poem's final two lines that I find most interesting.

I like the turn in your poem--in the ending two lines, Valsa. Two emotions well blended.
