In recollections-
of my life's journey, thus far
the tattered pages flutter
in my mind, snapshots . . .
black and white and color, drift-
faces, glimpses of places.
And I stand trembling-
as wind takes my tangled hair
I walk a green tree lined path
the birds are singing . . .
I open a rusty, gate-
holding, a dew wet red rose.
And I see your name-
like wings pages are floating
I want to run from this place
the weeping so loud . . .
it is ripping out my, heart-
turn, this page for I must leave.
