Our Lavender Hearts

From my verandah overlooking the ocean I see you in a yesterday beneath mandarine skies shaping hearts from tea-light candles upon honey-milked shores I watch you pick a pebble engrave our name upon it toss it in at sea and wish upon the stars There you are, coming closer with wind breeze in your hair and moon glow in your eyes I see you, feel you feel you coming to me I feel me,feel me melting to the curve of gentle fingertip upon these flaming lips and tender of my face held between your palms From my verandah overlooking the ocean I see in a tomorrow the last lilting waft of waves I see a pink blush rosy hue fading to bluish shades I see me pick a pebble engrave our name upon it toss it in at sea the sea which knows a secret within the you and me I see the pebble skipping and wish upon the stars stars which forgot our dreams and our lavender hearts

Charmaine, I am not a poet like the Chef, but I like this poem. I assume you know Kenny who has a few Poems on this site.He was Chef's Proxy before me. I have heard so much about you. Not much in the last year with Chef being in an out of the hospital. Its late now but I will soup mail you tomorrow about how much respect you have from me and a dozen other Grads of Chef's. Respectfully Flipper

Charma, this is so dreamy...so lovely. I love when you write like this. Of course, its always lovely. To your question, I paint my face when I hunt. I like to stay true to my Native American blood...gives me a warrior's edge...I like to think so, anyway.

A hop, a skip, a beat...the power of love with a side of Lavender scented dreams. This was very heart-warming.
