Only the Painting Could Speak
I stood motionless
Staring at the painting
That showed my emotion
In every brushstroke
Through pastel skies
And violet mountains
My words in a picture
Left unspoken
A surreal connection
Left unexplained
I couldn’t move
Locked in a mysterious moment
Unable to break away
Soft but strong expression
Only the painting could speak
