Let’s push for the turkey to be the national bird So many birds could be spared, so spread the word Every turkey should be pushing for congress To help them out of their mass slaughtering mess If the turkey becomes the national bird Maybe their clucking will still be heard They could become a protected species Rather than be in tasty thanksgiving recipes Turkey’s vote for thanksgiving to be banned Then there will be even more turkey’s ruling the land! 10~14~15 N/A in original contest

still loving this one. One of your funniest of the week, Jan. Remind me what all I was supposed to take a look at. I think I have seen everything you mentioned to me for today. I better get going to make dinner now. Caught up on comments and can't even think of a next contest to do!!

Yes, very funny. We also are amazed at the way we raise so many animals for slaughter. It's not like we only raise the ones we need to keep the grasslands under control. This goes way beyond and the pollution from all this activity is massive.

You are NOT a stupid turkey, Jan!!! Your last line is ample proof of that:) Once the turkey vote goes through, I propose we vote to protect all other animals! Veggies anyone?:) Hugs // paul

I cannot understand what is going on! I have commented on this poem of yours and I see my comment has not been registered. It happens a lot lately! Causes unknown? Anyway, I for one, vote for your delightful proposal, dear Jan! What animal is next? haha! hugs
