Famous Person or Poetry Soup Poet Limerick Contest Sponsored by Tania Kitchin 08/28/24

Miss Olivia Newton-John She transforms into a sex bomb Sandy Olssen in Grease Who wears pants that don't crease That outfit sure gave her aplomb! For filming she's sewn in her clothes That's quite bothersome I suppose How she managed to dance In those skin-tight black pants And visit the toilet, who knows!

Jan she was also a singer which she was known for as you know. Sadly she died I think this year or last. I loved her voice and you are right her clothes seemed painted on. I guess the men didn't mind lol. From a women's perspective I can understand your feelings. I think this was written in fun. Thank you Dear for sharing...

Yes Livvy..one strong sheila for sure she battled Cancer for a long time... You highlight the way Film production glosses and accentuates to An impossible persona..She never fell for the 2020 health scam btw people; either.' If she had Been stronger i reckon she'd have been singing With Claire Woodly at the protest.'

You know, sounds far out, but I never saw what was such a popular film. I bet John and her had few secrets. You got me curious. Perhaps I will watch it on Tubi or something.

I suppose most of these thoughts and images passed through John Travolta's mind lol! I am sure the attraction between them was quite magnetic. This is a delightfully enjoyable Limerick, Jan....and I see that it deserved congratulations for a top win! Hugs // paul

Haha! Dear Jan, I enjoyed your witty pair of limericks. Such great imagery and memories. A wonderful tribute to Sandy (ONJ) and to Grease! Thanks for the film clip too. An awesome poetic production:) Warmest wishes.. ~Susan

Jan, I don't think I can ever look at this scene the same way. I watched the clip and was thinking how talented these two were in this. I hope they didn't have to do too many takes. BTW, there was an article written recently about olympic swimmers and their very tight suits that force them to pee in the pool! I am a bit sorry that Olivia is gone since I always admired her range of voice and tone. Smiles!
