wild ride,
riveting
revelation
for instance, jaws—
do you
fear?
dare you turn your back—
i’ve done it twice.
she nearly broke my nose,
showered me
with Niagara Falls
still I can’t get enough,
disarmed by the ocean’s charm
i’ll wiggle my toes
at the edge
of peril—
its ebb and flow
so
inviting
frightening,
her depths
meander too long—
like staring
into an eclipse
of the sun
i’m a buoy,
a smorgasbord attraction,
just a morsel—
a grain of sand
i catapult
off her islands
the ocean vast
she’ll hear my scream
as i fall for her
God hears my praise
from the ship’s railing—
this whale of water,
admiring
