Not So Fast

Warm evening breeze flows As darkness settles Over the land and mountains Where birds sing goodnight With calls from the pines How did the day go so fast? Not much time to stop and think Now it’s time to try to sleep Not an easy task to do To push away thoughts and questions Just wanting to rest To be ready for the gift of tomorrow To arrive at the door with fresh air, Bright light and new music In nature’s offering of more time To take a break ----In a day not so fast---- Heidi Sands 6/13/17

We can't have everything our way, Heidi:) If it were up to me I'd lengthen the happy hours and shorten the problematic ones! Wish I could spend more time with nature, too! ~ Enjoyed this delightful poem:) Regards // paul

A day should linger as long as we need it to. Just as long as we are awake, and only go to sleep when we do :)

Good Morning Heidi. This is lovely. The words theme moment in time expression all of it. Don't we all wish to stop and slow the clock. Time does move fast and it gets faster with each day. Well done entirely. Enjoy the morning and day.
