Not So Fast
Warm evening breeze flows
As darkness settles
Over the land and mountains
Where birds sing goodnight
With calls from the pines
How did the day go so fast?
Not much time to stop and think
Now it’s time to try to sleep
Not an easy task to do
To push away thoughts and questions
Just wanting to rest
To be ready for the gift of tomorrow
To arrive at the door with fresh air,
Bright light and new music
In nature’s offering of more time
To take a break
----In a day not so fast----
