Nostradamus

Working late at night, The seer gazes into time: Through a water bowl. In private study, He trembles in his robe as- Foresight...fills the room. Through late night vigils; Divine splendor set to page: He foretells of time. Fanciful visions, In the countless prophecies; Bizarre imagery. One-thousand quatrains, Layered with lurid details: Keenly...camouflaged. Bold...obscure verses, Flow with brave trepidation: From a ceaseless quill. With his astrolabe, His poetic prophecies- Speak of disaster. Visions of dear days, Recorded on parchment by- The hand of a sage.

Enjoyed this one a lot, Raul. Ever heard of Edwin Casey? He is a more modern version of Nostradamus.

I am still dazzled and preplexed by the visions he saw before they happened. This Choka brings him into the present. Thank you for once again sharing your amazing talent, Raul. Laine

Once again, you have written a stunning piece on this facinating figure....what a burden it might be to see into the future. I think it may not have been an easy gift to live with. Well done, Raul....quite thought provoking to see what has already come true!!

Well crafted piece of work. You can almost see the old guy at work. The 3 line stanzas work very well here. On a personal note I dont think he really was able to foretell stuff. Regards: Déirdre
