Night's Light
Night has its own
Light.
Black
Dons its armor over sleep;
Spacing out; a.m.; p.m.;
On one same great spread.
(Vehement eyes)
No noriety of a noble gown—
No bars to further shake me down.
(light shucks light)
No hellion heart to sear the heaven in me.
No touch enough for my comatose brain
To read— (no one seems to get through its
language now...)
(feeling light)
No blood to grow golden fields out of the lies.
No prewarned glaciers for the crash—
(light fright)
No miles enough to quell the fire running inside—
No born star can air out my gasp.
(light sight)
Dark
Holds my scars in imagined light
(Something at last just mine)
As I'm next to recipient night;
For
Night has its own
Light.
