New Year
New year
When new year resolutions at the eve
shatter in shimmer of next day's sunrise,
Setting sun's aurora if could forgive
Promises unkept waiting to fulfil,
beauty of dawn takes up as a surprise,
Grudges of past lost to desires that chill.
End up in dreams to be unveiled in time,
Some golden moments we fondly cherished,
in few years of life that were utmost prime,
Achievements studded in crown of glory
still far was content to be embellished,
New year nurtures hope, another story.
When new year resolutions at the eve
end up in dreams to be unveiled in time.
