New Beginnings
Remove those chains,
around my painful wrists.
Remove these hurting hands,
from my screaming throat.
And stop your burning breath,
from my hurting arms,
my aching heart,
my crying brain.
Return to me the sight,
speech, hearing, legs.
Let me down from this prison,
this fleeting life.
Like smoke blowing in the wind,
disappearing,
gone.
Words restored to script.
words turned into rhyme.
wheels instead of legs.
Live like never thought
could be.
Seeing sun, hearing wind,
feeling love,
for more than just me,
far more.
