Hello, Mr. Cardinal, How are you today? All dressed up in fiery red, You hasten on your way. I love to watch your antics, As you hop, and flit, and fly; So confident and handsome, A splash of red against the sky. Are you looking for a yummy treat, When you hop across the grass? Or are you seeking out your lady love, To impress her with your class? I'll never know since you flew away, Leaving me to guess. But I hope one day you will return, Until then I'll say "God bless".

Cardinals are beautiful birds ! Your desctiption of it is so lovely and cute like the cardinal. "A splash of red against the sky." Love this line !

We don’t get Cardinals in the UK. But I recently googled them… WOW! I sure wouldn’t spare the seed if they were about. A smashing write about a smashing little bird, Kim.
