Yes, for some it is harsh reality... Those words I feel constantly. You would be a good friend to those of us in need of love and hope. It is a beautiful poem, Jan. Thank you for sharing.

For some it is a sad reality Tim - not sure if my son will be home for Christmas :-( he wants to focus on his studies and exam revision - he has my blessing to do whatever he wants I would not hold him back :-) hugs Jan xx

Hi Jan, Thank you for shedding a warm light on this heartbreaking sorrow being lived by many families today. There are thousands of missing loved ones who vanish without a trace, and there is not enough air time to discuss even a fraction of them. I enjoyed your poem and am going to try this genre myself! Hugs, Kim xx

CayCay had done a poem in this style and it inspired me to try I wish it wasn't so sad but that is the way my muse works and I have no control over what she comes up with:-( hugs jan xx

Me too Richard but sadly for some families it is reality and it must hit home hard with the festive season approaching:-( Hugs jan xx

Don't be sad about that, JAN. When our muse takes control of our pen...we're headed in the right direction. This is touching...so your muse reached in to your tender heart to write what you feel.

Thanks Lin:-) my son skyped me last night after I wrote this to say he may not be home for Christmas - not the same scenario as a 'missing child' but it hit home hard that there will be families in a very real situation with loved ones who have simply vanished without trace:-( hugs Jan xx
