I wrote this poem a couple of months ago when winter's icy breath arrived shortly after midnight.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It came softly upon midnight's breath, turning seasons from green to white, bringing the pre-dawn sparrows to chirp a wistful tune... nestled securely on, around, and in-between winter's chill
Happy Valentine's Day dear Sara! This is a serene and gentle winter poem, love the photo of the little birds too. We have a window bird feeder our backyard birds have been dining at. I try to get a photo, but when I raise my arms the birds fly away. Superior penning here. Blessings xox
thank you, Regina, for the Valentines Day wishes and for your accolades for my poem. The birds in our yard are skittish, too. I can see them from my office...when I get up out of my chaie (even though I'm inside) they scatter. Have a great Valentine's day yourself, hugs, Sara
What a beautiful picture, Sara, so wonderfully expressed. There is a sense of peaceful transition "on, around, and in-between" the seasonal transitions! Just lovely! Amazing how easily the birds adapt to seasonal changes! Blessings!
Another lovely personification poem, Sara. The merging of midnight's breath (beautiful vision) and early morning songbirds is a warming winter image.
