What was a happy place.. It's been replaced with sadness Shadows moved in Looking out the window, the sky frowns gray Rain pouring down An ominous sound Of regret, our love has drowned What an unexpected place On its face the dark unknowns Shroud the memory Of brighter days when skies were always blue Hand in hand I was your man Only love songs played by the band We were gas and fire, burning intense desire The flame now gone, no lover's song Girl... what went wrong Tears trickle down my cheeks Once I was strong, now I'm so weak Love abandoned me On this uncharted isle of pain and loneliness Just left to die I wonder why I try to smile, even whistle.. but I just cry Because...... Today is my last day on this Mountain Adventure and having to leave this sweet girl (the mountain) put me in the perfect meloncholy to pen this write.
