Make America White Again

"Make America White Again"
Will never make any sense
Despite the tweets of "GENIUS" Trump
Or Republicans like Pence

Brown-skinned people filled this land
From one end to the other
And though they had their differences
"Eve" is everyone's mother

Though some are prone to cast a stone
Or ridicule their brother
What makes a nation great again
Is love for one another.

All under one sun and if you believe as I do, all under one God too. Your last two lines are my favorite. I want to copy your poem and send it to my brother. He would love it. He is the father of a black child, my niece. This is a beautiful poem.

CNN said at least one city - I believe it is Boston - is no longer "white." That must have unsettled a few Trumpers. Now they will shoot a few more black men to get even. Love your poem!

Boston is the home of racism in the USA, having expelled the Irish, Catholics, and everyone else who do not share the prejudices!

I love this poem! My students and I were discussing an Amy Tan story where she compared the color of a boy's skin as being as "lily-white as Mary's." It doesn't occur to small-town mid-western middle school kids that Mary was probably closer to Amy Tan's skin color than their own.

I do not think one can make anyone "love", but learning to respect one another should start in the cradle! Thank you for reading and commenting! Aloha! Rico

Hi Rico, I really enjoyed this poem and yes Eve is the mother of all! Coming together of every colour, creed or nation is the way forward, something our friend Trump could or never can embrace for he has never cared! Yasou, Jennifer

Hello Rico, I sincerely enjoyed reading your poem here!! For sure you've touched on something quite painful and hurtful that should not ever be tolerated by anyone in a country born and conceived on democratic principles like the United States. The "Very Stable Genius" Trump, Pence, and those who buy-in to their propaganda of intolerance and division do not represent the "Better Angels of America's Nature." (I wrote a couple of poems on Trump you should read!!) Superb Write!! Best Always, Gary

Brilliant, but you're only halfway there. You, or in fact no one has seen a man the colour of this page, white. Pink to the darkest brown, all shades of red, covers all the human race. Much love to you my fellow human being Rico, Mick
