Love feels very fresh when you meet a guy by chance.
It’s something wonderful when it brings about romance.
Love walks in; he smiles at you; you don’t know what to do.
but when you look again at him, his eyes are still on you!
Love might find you later in his car in his embrace.
You gaze into warm eyes as each other’s face you trace.
Love that you have longed for reveals itself at last
when your lips meet his, and time goes way too fast.
Love is when you think about that guy both day and night.
It feels like an obsession that could not be more right.
Love like all of this is love that is unreal.
Can anyone maintain the way that love first made you feel?
Love can’t be forever the way that you first felt
or the way his words and touch made you want to melt.
Love that is obsession slips quietly away.
Those with wisdom know this; they learn to make love stay,
Love is true when mutual, kind, respectful and forgiving,
Rekindled often, love is joy that always you’ll be living.
