Premiere Contest WinnerLike a Book

He read her like a book as her wistful words poured forth from deep within the pages of her tender seeking soul. He lay mesmerized as her paragraphs spoke softly to him, luring him so deep into her soothing spell. He gently held the precious volume in his searching hands while memorizing each and every line that danced across her parchment pages. He perused her thoughts so deep into the summer night, word by word, as he sought to understand the secrets of her soul. He caressed the palish pearly pages as her wistful whispered words tenderly touched the fantasies within his mind, fulfilling all his dreams, until the light of dawn began to break. On this summer night he read her like a book… again and again.

' He read her like a book, ' and ' her paragraphs spoke softly to him. ' This thought holds me close, and for many reasons. It's been a while since reading these words from your heart, and while it whispers sensuality, the love within touches me gently. Such a wonderful feeling. Hugs, Brandy

John, many congrats are due for this gem: a trophy, a POTD, Best New Poem and now a marathon win. Well done, sir, much enjoyed this, especially the 2nd stanza and the alliterations of stanza 5. Many times I have gazed upon my love "while memorizing each and every line that danced across her parchment pages". So beautiful ~ John

If you were to collect all your trophies handed to you as a top win, they would take up a cabinet. Congratulations my dear friend, my husband always says he can read me like a book if I am concerned, or if for instance its his birthday and I'v bought him something he really wanted 6 months ago and he can't remember what it was, i enjoy him guessing but he normally is not right, that is how people in love just are. Hugs and blessings, Jennifer.
