the blazing August sun- violent and fierce . . . again
withering heat . . . unbearable without air conditioning . . .
over and over I am watering and misting my thirsty flowers
and I recall another sun drenched August of yesteryear
when dad was buried under the same piercing sun
I didn't know that on that hot August day years ago
I would became a poet . . finding my poetic voice
