Just a Dream Within a Dream

Just "a dream within a dream" make believe so real may seem and the real just make believe what can one do but sigh and grieve Make believe is lovely, fair let my heart reside but there reality a hellish night devoid of truth, of joy, of light Just "a dream with a dream" Mix the two in flowing stream paradise and hell combine in place called life; it's mine Make believe: how true, how sweet where all is love and all is sweet what is real: how sad, how bleak where passion is subdued and weak Well did the author write to say "a dream within a dream", touche'! For well he wrote, and well he thought this mortal life will come to naught Yet while we live and breathe and feel mix make believing with the real make life a bearable affair in this dream state, I'll find you there We'll dance and laugh at every plight and fill each day with sheer delight we'll scorn the ones who laugh at love unfurl our wings and soar above We'll live believing we can be the kings and queens of destiny and should life then deal us a blow we will have tasted joy, you know Then we can face reality with brave hearts and camaraderie "a dream within a dream" you see Makes sense when you are here with me Eileen Manassian

Good Morning Eileen. Please allow me to let your words stand. There is nothing I could ever add. This entry was well thought out with attention to detail in its entirety including the title. Honestly. It is also one of those entries to be read out loud slowly. Be proud of your creation and execution. Well done in its entirety. PS. I admire Poe and his work.

Yes, dear. We all try to make sense of this world we are living in. The find line between dream and reality is often blurred....I think its due to our need for self preservation...a sort of coping mechanism. Blessings, dear.

Sometimes dreams can seem more real than reality and can be remembered much better over time. I remember a wonderful dream I had 30 years ago in every detail and passion. Such a lovely poem Eileen. 7 Blessings ; )
