Inhibitions

A glass of wine and inhibitions waver It is my need to tell my tearful truths. I accept that it accomplishes very little But the need is great, my tears, my proof.... Alone at this midnight hour I am, and alone all the other hours of the day. A glass of wine and inhibitions waver, Pathetic whimpers and feet of bitter clay.... I think there is no pain quite like it.. It is filled with blood and flows so deep A glass of wine and inhibitions waver Morning promises that I will never keep... Cryptic verse written with the madness A glass of wine and inhibitions waver It seems to come with unrequited love Pain this day for my poor soul to saver......

Dear LNC, sometimes a glass of wine can ease the pain a bit. When love is not returned, it stings! We have to cling to hope that brighter days will follow. You capture the loneliness so well in your beautifully penned quatrain. But let's offer a toast to better times in the future! Love, Carolyn
