Inhibitions
A glass of wine and inhibitions waver
It is my need to tell my tearful truths.
I accept that it accomplishes very little
But the need is great, my tears, my proof....
Alone at this midnight hour I am, and
alone all the other hours of the day.
A glass of wine and inhibitions waver,
Pathetic whimpers and feet of bitter clay....
I think there is no pain quite like it..
It is filled with blood and flows so deep
A glass of wine and inhibitions waver
Morning promises that I will never keep...
Cryptic verse written with the madness
A glass of wine and inhibitions waver
It seems to come with unrequited love
Pain this day for my poor soul to saver......
