Methinks you are taking jabs at old Tom Turkey, Daver. If he weren't so large, we would have "slim pickings" on Thanksgiving. Thanks for the laugh, my friend. Love, Carolyn

Was that a turkey platter or just one of those small meat platters that we had when I was young..I enjoyed your work..Good idea and well carried out presentation..I am glad that you stopped by and read my work"Angel Battles For Me"..The nurse tech that looked after me at the hospital name was Angel Battles..That gave me the idea for the acrostic..Sara

Dear Daver, Thanks for your kind comment on my poem. I just read your poem, In this day of widespread obesity - THE TALE OF TOM, and laughed out loud. But I shouldn’t have laughed because Tom is such a nice guy, and unless he loses weight, he will get sick and maybe even die young. Amusing poem, however. Love, Amy
