(Kissing the Blarney Stone--courtesy of amazingplanet.com)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ In Blarney there’s one magic stone. When you kiss it, you’re put in ‘the zone.’ You’ll soon gab with words so glib. Matters not if truth or fib. With a stout Guinness, one must atone.
thanks hubby. I appreciate the complimentary words coming from the 'Limerick' master. I'd go to the Blarney Stone with you. You know me, though...I'd take lots of hand sanitizer and disinfecting wipes to clean that stone before kissing it. :-)
Hi Sara , being Irish I have kissed the blarney stone , I've been told it works as I apparently always have quite a lot to say , and Guinness that my equivalent to Uische Beathe, which is the water of life , sure you just have to drink it , loved your Limerick as I do all your work . Daniel
Ive heard of the blarney stone. Kind of interesting. I would never kiss it though as i would probably feel a bit hesitant. However, it must be comforting for those that try that in hopes of something.. imagine how many must have done that. Great limerick. Love the rhymes and flow of your lines. Have a great day, sending you light always
I thought the same thing, Ink....not sure I'd want to kiss something that a gazillion of people have kissed over the course of time, EEEW...Thanks for stopping by and for your kind words. Have a great Friday, hugs, Sara
I really enjoy Irish Folk music and I clicked on this piece whilst listening to 'The Rocky Road to Dublin' by the Irish Rovers! Enjoyed this :)
not sure if I've ever listened to Irish folk music, but I'm guessing its uplifting. I've seen Riverdance (Irish tap dancing) a couple of times....truly amazing to watch. enjoy your day & thanks for stopping by, Sara
I put my money on the Guinness for the gift of gab. Nice poem. I should go to Ireland in my lifetime. Better hurry.
thanks for your comments, Andrea. No, I've never been. Seen parts of Europe, England, and Ireland--mostly castles...no stone kissing for me on those trips :-) enjoy your evening, hugs, Sara
funny comments, Tom. Sanitizer to clean the stone? EEGADS. I did read that now workers sanitize the stone after each kiss. Thanks for your visit! Sara
thanks for your visit, Joseph...I hear Guinness has a magic of it's own, but I don't know. I don't imbibe in beer, just the occasional glass of wine. :-) have a great evening, Sara
