There were once some poets at Poetrysoup Who refused before other men to stoop Tried only good things to write Fought for what was just and right In the end mostly on them did "they" poop!* © Demetrios Trifiatis 01 May 2018 * Fortunately there are many good men and women around that keep Poetrysoup going whom I thank from the bottom of my heart for their contribution. Unfortunately, there are some who do a lot of damage to the site and to a lot of good people who just wish to express their love for poetry. This Limerick is dedicated to all those who have been victims of such malicious attacks. 10-10-7-7-10

Well said! Ignoring them is the best remedy for us and the worst punishment for them. A limerick to be quoted.

As our love affair with, and our own dependence on, technology intensifies, it is predicted that cyberbullying will become an even more present concern. Of course I stand with you Demetrios, I myself have been here only a year and have witnessed it myself. All I can say that I commend you for taking the stance you do and may I leave this quote....The Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. "We have learned to fly the air like birds and swim the sea like fish, but we have not learned the simple art of living together as brothers."......An amazing limerick of yours to remind us to be brave......Maria xxx

I appreciate enormously your visit and your feedback dearest, Maria! A lot of people have been treated the way I have described here and most of them have run away and those who have stayed are afraid to come forward and give testimony for they know they will be submitted to the same treatment as I expect myself to be because of speaking up! God bless you for your kindness and integrity! My reply to them is my poem " NO MY LORD"

DO YOU MEAN my dearest friend, Anne-Lise, that a doctor would not do anything to fight a disease because diseases are everywhere and because his profession allows him to make friends? Don't you think that he should do his best to eradicate a disease no matter what the cost? EVIL my friend, should be confronted wherever and whenever we see it if we wish to live in a better world! I am certain you are a good person and also certain that you know what I am talking about! Thank you!

Yes, this is true because you say so and it is true for the vast majority of the members but should we ignore those who are attacked and run away never to return? I know its gravity and I know it will cost me dearly BUT I would rather do my moral duty and have peace with my God rather to do nothing and have peace with them. I feel much better to know that you are with me in "heart and spirit" on the subject. No, we shouldn't let it pass like this. I send to these people my love and pray that they see the light! They may " win " some battles but have already lost the war in the eyes of the Lord! Thank you dearest , Eileen! You have been my friend, since the first day! God bless you!

Well said Demetrios, the only way is to rise above them and do good things.I couldn't believe some of the things I read about these trolls destroying peoples lives and using the internet to spout their venom.They have no place in society.They are scum, no other word to describe them.I even composed a poem about them to let them know that.We stand together against them. Music to my ears your words my fellow gladiator ! We should never let evil unchecked for it is too dangerous! I have been with the soup since 2012 and have written 1906 poems more than one hundred fighting for justice here at PS. I will be happy to read that poem.
