In Painted Hues

the forest is painted hues of green with deep shaded places to hide the birds are singing, twittering a song the different tweets mingling falling to a deep hush and trees form a cathedral canopy with the gnarled limbs twisting and entwining and the vines creep with flowers bright where dappled sun caresses each space a stream ripples by over sun bleached rocks it flows- a silver fish jumps ______________________ September 5, 2020 Poetry/Imagism/in painted hues Copyright Protected, ID 09-1308-833-05 All Rights Reserved, 2020, Constance La France Crystalline 9/8- Kimo 10/7/6- Verse/ 4 lines- Haiku 5/7/5 Posted as Imagism Submitted to the contest, A Short Forms (Fusion) sponsor, Brian Strand, Judged 12/07/20 Second Place

Constance, you have perfectly captured the still beauty of the forest - streams, calling birds, fish jumping - a true cathedral from the Master's hand all bathed in peace. Congratulations on this masterly crafted poem! Blessings!

This is written like the poems of Coleridge and Keating and other old masters whose names have disappeared from my mind.

When nature speaks and we listen it draws us closer to our maker, I liked the cathedral reference. Thanks Constance for posting such a delightful read!
