I Will Not Read
I will not read those things which bring me pain
the words that chase the sun and bring the rain
I will not read the words that steal delight
That lead me down from day to darkest night
I will not read the words that are not true
That rob me of my faith and make me blue
I will not read the words dressed in disguise
that bring unbidden tears to soulful eyes
I will not read the words that seem to be
An altered state of my reality
I will not read the words that bring me down
that chase away my smile and bring a frown
I'll read and taste and savor words of love
And soar on wings of words to heights above

Disclaimer: This is a repost from a while back. You can look for it on my current page. I feel the need to repost to remind myself of those feelings that were there when I first wrote it. It was true then, and it is true now. I want to thank everyone who posted lovely comments on Frank's blog. That was kind of him to post a blog and kind of all my friends to show their support. I will remain because poetry is very dear to me. Nothing can make me lose my love for that. Hugs....you all know who those are for. :)
