I Feel You Here
Lord, I feel your arms
wrap around my soul,
embracing this life
that I wish could just let go.
Though I've never seen your face
I still feel your breath,
drying my tears
when I cry into the deepest dark.
I know when I am alone
you are still here.
I sit on your lap
and you surround this pain.
I sit up at night
my heart torn in two,
but I feel an unseen warmth
and know it must be you.
