I Died
Decked in floral wreaths n’ crown,
As I lay in state among family and friends,
I knew my life, beyond mortal reach, extends,
And no reason for me to sigh or frown.
I felt very light and glided through lands forlorn,
Where lamps shone bright in radiant sheen.
Fluffy clouds moved past star-studded sky, a lovely scene.
Though out of mortal reach, no reason to mourn.
Reaching a land of mystery where all seemed so blest,
I saw God with saints and seraphs in all glory reign,
Also, angels singing songs of praise in great zest.
I saw my family grieving deep as if they did attest,
That my life was dear to them and that I didn’t live in vain.
Contented and happy, thus I enter my place of joyful rest.
