Sometimes I hope
I could be you...
For just a little while
To see the world through your two eyes;
To hear the truth appear through lies;
To see you smile...
I wish that I could cope.
But you are you,
And I am here,
And stuck in me.
And in my fever nights I see
"The woods are lovely, dark and deep.
But I have promises to keep
And miles to go before I sleep" (1)
I close my eyes,
But know I wake
again, and then again.
I wish no one to tell me lies
But still they do,
I hear them fake,
But love them too.
I just don't want to feel that pain....
Sometimes I wish
I could be you.
