your Granny sounds like my kind of woman. I think we all picked this trick up from Julia Child’s cooking show. Lol Love this new form and will try to think of one. SuZ

Haven't been to poetry soup in over a decade. Dude did you just create a new form of poetry??? Awesome! Much agree with Jan A. very clever that lim and ku. The structure of the haiku first is the brilliance of Sir Charles. When I read Hai-lim-ku just assumed it was a centuries old form.

Crazy me, I read your poem a few days back and I noticed I forgot to leave a message. Love the poem and great example. Even at my age my memories of my grandma have always been sad. I miss her because she was always supper for a young girl. She used to spoil me rotten since I was the oldest of all the grandchildren.

Charlie, so much fun to read and a great example for your new contest, it reminds me of my Mom she would send me to the store for red wine, I always thought it was for cooking until I saw her taking drinks from the bottle as she cooked, I don't think any wine ever made it into the thing she was cooking _Constance

Funny. I think all grandma's had their little secrets. It was life's solution at the time especially if you had a herd of kids and were a housewife!! Thank you for your comment.. Have a great day.

She is so so clever...Like the many condiments added to her dish, she took some condiment to boost her spirits up. Love this combination of different forms Charles.

LOL- I do like it in my salad, with oil, salt, pepper & oregano...but in the sauce a touch of cabernet will never hurt. Hmm maybe I'll try it tonight (lol). Thank you, Virginia.
