My NEW form. "Charlie Hai-lim-ku" (lol)  a haiku followed by a limerick followed by a monoku..

Grandmother's Secrets

five hours on the stove 
garlic, onion, tomatoes 
the great smell of sauce 

My grandmother in the kitchen all day
Cooking dinner while her kids were away 
Nobody ever knew 
She always used Ragu 
And drank a bottle of fine cabernet 

the fine cabernet hidden, inside a vat of red wine vinegar

The structure of the haiku first is the brilliance of Sir Charles. When I read Hai-lim-ku just assumed it was a centuries old form. Even at my age my memories of my grandma have always been sad. I miss her because she was always supper for a young girl. She used to spoil me rotten since I was the oldest of all the grandchildren.
