“What can I give him poor as I am?
If I were a shepherd, I would give him a lamb.
If I were a wise man, I would do my part.
I know what to give him, I will give him my heart” By Christina Rossetti
Always under our Christmas tree,
Was the nativity scene.
Depicting His birth so lovingly.
Under a pine tree in shades of green,
Decorated for our Christmas day,
Was the nativity scene.
Joseph by the manger made of clay,
Porcelain Mary, a blue dress was worn,
Decorated for our Christmas day.
As a child, I was allowed place the baby born,
And the wise men played their part,
Porcelain Mary, a blue dress was worn.
That special feeling would always start,
When we would remember God’s only Son,
And the wise men played their part.
The tiny angels watching one by one,
Always under our Christmas tree,
When we would remember Gods only Son,
Depicting his Birth so lovingly.
