Image result for luscious fruit lips

Oh, those bows - luscious, red and succulent, plucked from your visage Like an apple from The Tree ... tempting and yet devilish! Fruits, sugary and glistening, ripe and plump to perfection ... Rain-drenched, I drink deep the dewy sweetness, Sampling your moist, dappled lips, but oh, Such is to savor these delicacies, That my hunger only grows ... I long for more ... Yes, I desire ... So much ... MORE ... * THIRD PLACE in the "Melting Snowball" Poetry Contest, Line Gauthier, Sponsor. *

Used to grow them every year, Jan, and I miss it. Those giant bio-engineered ones at the grocery store don't have the same sweetness ... can't wait for local season, (and my favorite - fresh peas!!). Many thanks, my friend! :-) <3

This was definitely alluring and so damn sexy. Short, brisk lines that create just enough heat to light a fire in the readers mind, gently but thoroughly. Nicely done.

Thank you so much, Chris - what a wonderful compliment! I've been writing longer pieces for too long, and I'm trying to break that habit. Haiku helps, but I need to do mid-length pieces as well ... they're fun, especially this kind!
