Forgiveness Premiere Contest Winner

The word "martyr" comes originally from the ancient Greek legal term for "witness", for someone who gives testimony or evidence in a court of law. Jim Cain 2001 FORGIVENESS O’Neill depicts the passion of… the plank, a bridge our savior’s face, buried in space open, ethereal mustard clouds & blue sky mix hands and feet, transfixed heaven was indeed opened by this act, this transaction, this redeeming moment where skies’ ebonized on earth, a light ignited in paradise the sacrifice of Christ accepted gravity the world could not, yet, touch soon martyr’s feet would shout it out 6/26/2022 A BRIAN STRAND PREMIERE CHOICE https://oneillartgallery.com/shop/forgiveness/

Kim, a beautiful ekphrasis of a powerful painting of Christ on the cross. You use such strong imagery to depict the scene; I particularly like "the plank, a bridge" and "where skies’ ebonized on earth, a light ignited in paradise". Congrats on your trophy and thank you for artistically expressing your faith ~ John

When our Lord lay transfixed between the sky and earth on a cross, with legs and feet nailed, heaven was opened and we are saved ! Congratulations Kim on your top win.

We are all martyrs to the cause. Forgiveness is the cornerstone of leading a good life.... not to be used sparingly. Well penned. Stay well my friend.
