Feelings of Fear

Seeping and crawling came my fear. I began to see it way too clear. Tension mounting as it came near, Transforming it into a tear. Anxiously waiting I couldn’t hear, My eyes were staring with a leer. Then I felt it, it seemed so clear. Arriving quickly, it was here. Shimmering, I felt it unfold. Negative thoughts had taken hold. Anguish entered into the fold. I’ll get the light; I must be bold. What has given me such a scare? Just another stupid, nightmare.

Does seem silly to me, a lot of words have multiple meanings. That's the whole ideal of determining the meaning from context. Da Bill

Hello Bill ... yeah Bill, you have to wonder where these nightmares come from, but running out of cheese is a nightmare for me - thanks Bill - Lindsay

nightmares, real and manufactured, do give us quite a scare...we don't anticipate them...yet they appear bringing us anguish and pause. Are our worries are self-created nightmares?

Descriptive piece, Bill. I had nightmares when I was young. Now I just have stupid, frustrating dreams--sometimes! Janice

I think I know what you mean concerning the current dreams. I have a similar kind. They are just absurd, crazy chaos sometimes. Too much going on to be getting good rest or sleep. Thanks for commenting, Janice. Hugs, Bill

I don't get them as much anymore, but was thinking about when I used to get them, after my duty in Southeast Asia late 60's and early 70's. I'm getting better rest now that I've discovered meditating. Have a good day, Jeff. Bill

When fear creeps in, being bold and brave certainly does help. Pushing those negative thoughts out, keeps nightmares away. Usually. May you always have "sweet" dreams, my dear friend. Hugs, Brandy

I've developed some strategies that work well, and I'm able to let go of the crazy, chaotic stuff pretty fast now. Thanks for your comforting words, my dear friend. Hugs, Bill

Unfortunately, they are a common experience and nearly always accompanied by a sense of terror, or fear, as you say. Don't feel bad, I had the same word, properly used, asterisked out by the censors. It is so upsetting to see a good word hijacked like this one was.

I agree, Milt. It happens to be a good fit for my thought but happens to have several different meanings. Unnecessary edit, I'll have to think of another line to replace it with, I guess. Have a good day, my friend, Bill
