~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Though it is the beginning of February, the day is a lazy sort of cold. The sun slips through the cloud in bursts, reminding the landscape that it is still there, prodding snow piles to relax into puddles and stirring sleeping seeds under the ground.”
hope blooms in hearts buds burst with anticipation February's secret
I agree, Silent One...February is a peculiar month...reminds me of the teenagers I used to teach...hormonally unpredictable. :-) smiles, Sara
A tour de force of a poem on wintry nature's beauty, Sara. You hit them all out of the park. Mazel Tov on your exquisite writing skills. Hugs xxox
Strange, how 50 degrees in the fall feels like it's freezing. But 50 degrees in February is like heaven.
Yes, indeed! Though it is still quite cold when I see those buds sprouting I feel the warmth of spring. Aptly descriptive--hope blooms in hearts buds burst with anticipation February's secret--I certainly relate to this.
thanks for visiting, Vijay...we, too, are experiencing what some call 'fake spring.' Our trees and flowers are totally confused...but I welcome the warmth of spring. Glad you found my poem relatable. have a great evening, Sara
Nice tribute to February, which Is a little longer this year. Nothing is growing here yet. I know the crocuses are usually first to bloom.
thank you, Hilda, for your visit and kind words. We're experiencing 'fake spring,' which confuses things a bit...daffodils are slowly emerging and all the trees have buds pregnant with new life! Amazing to see. Have a splendid day, Sara
