Fate

"Fate is something which we never ask for or desire to happen, but which takes place, sometimes by forces outside our control and sometimes through our own actions" By Poet Dizzy, we stand at the edge of a precipice, Looking, in fear on our Earth Boiling, bubbling, and steaming With streams of blood flowing Warplanes blanket the sky. Volcanic sounds pierce the ear. Booms of gun shots rent the air Lightning passes blinding the eye A sword dangles on a thread Ready to fall anytime over our heads. Might dissipates men’s sight From everywhere rises the bleak cry for help Can we avert our fate…? Alas, it is a fate of our own making! Friends, toll the bells! Fall on our knees and pray, To all Gods we can call. We are on the brink of an apocalypse. For the time being, we are on a truce. But soon the war cry would sound, And we have to succumb to our dreadful fate. Feb. 17. 2023 ~ Placed Second~ Writing Challenge- F words Poetry Contest Sponsor- Constance La France

Valsa, indeed what goes around comes around and the chickens always come home to roost. I love the way you pointed out the power of prayer that invites God into all the chaos we have created -God, the great problem solver and healer. Wonderful, as always, with many lines that challenge us to think! Now there's a concept! Congratulations on your stunning write dear friend! Blessings and prayers as we rest beside the weary road!

"Alas, it is a fate of our own making!" Even in the new system, we will be given a chance, but fate has it that man will misbehave once again. An intriguing write, Valsa!

Like you say, we create our own fate. Karma. God does not send bolts of lightning out of the sky to punish or teach us a lesson. Our behavior attracts the polls of Karma. Free Will. It is awesome. And destructive when used wrongly. God has tears in His Eyes. I think. But what do I know? Only sense in my soul.

a fate of our own making: And it all began with Cain and has never stopped. We blame others for our misdeeds. Best for a win.
