Emptiness
When thought forms cease, what remains
save soul’s presence, freed from chains
and so we choose to explore,
silence at our very core.
Mind-body an empty shell,
in stillness with joy does swell,
in prayer, transformed as peace,
that grants soul, from fears release.
Emptiness thus paves the way,
to imbibe grace, day by day,
healing heart by so feeling,
bliss thunder so appealing.
There then is nothing to do,
save letting bliss beats renew,
gentling thought, in calm sedate,
pure of heart, at peace and chaste.
With God search our only goal,
ego death paves way for soul
to transform as love and light,
vibrant by day and by night.
