Don'T Blame the Wind

Don't blame the wind When the sky was graying You didn't mind the breeze For it swirled falling leaves Creating an arid scene, As heat kept rising You didn't notice The smell in your nostrils Was ozone whirling, When sun left horizon Sky soon darkened But you kept gazing As the twilight sparkled, When air turned stormy You didn't care For you liked the thunder And flash of lightening, And now it's raining Pouring relentlessly, But If you didn't see it coming Don’t blame the wind. If something goes wrong, finding fault with others is our natural tendency. Despite visible signs, if one doesn't take necessary precautions, he has to bear the brunt. A great poem with a deeper meaning !

You are right, Vijay; we often try to pass on our faults to someone else! Also there are times when we are blind to what is going on around us, then it's too late when things go wrong! Regards // paul

Hi Vijay, You have penned a well written and deep write. Good metaphors as well. I think you are referring to relationship gone bad.But it was too late when they realized it. That's my and I could be way off. Neverthess, good write:-) Alexis

Thank you Alexis--I like your astute observation. The message I wanted to convey here was taking responsibility for own actions instead of blaming others. It could apply to any situation in life, including love, as you have indicated.
