Divine Intervention

Some believe in divine intervention,
many do not.
When something happens,
they say~just a coincidence.
When you have been touched by it,
then you know it is real.
Late one afternoon,
a call came in.
Your dad had been badly hurt,
he is headed for surgery.
He will not make it,
but we must try.
You need to get here,
get here now.
I threw things in a bag,
headed for the airport.
From the phone call I did pray,
if You must take him that is OK.
I just want to see him,
see him just one more time.
Late that night,
I had finally arrived.
He was alive,
a simple miracle.
At one AM the doctor called,
divine intervention kept him alive this long.
I knew that,
a prayer was answered.

Your father never really leaves you, he is with you all the time Paula. Same goes for anyone you love, who has loved you. I do believe in Divine Intervention, but I also believe in a person's willpower to stay as long as they can at time of death, or just after, to say their worldly 'farewells' to those they love. There is a spirit world, there is a Heaven. There are guardian angels, and our loved ones wear those wings. Sad but beautiful poem. Much Love, Paula. Leanne

Hi Paula, definitely prayer will be answered , perhaps not the way we desire, but in the way that benefits us in one way or other. So glad for your experience, though initially it was traumatic.
