A fictional write

Nothing eases the unending sorrow
Of lost love that brought joy to each morrow
Wish there was something that could ease the pain
Of longing to be together again.
Whatever happened to romance we knew
The love once cherished by both me and you
On carpets of roses we both did lay
Once upon many a whimsical day.
Blissful were the days and tender the nights
As we soared splendiferous giddy heights
Held safe in your loving arms the hours flew
Why oh why sweetheart did you say we’re through.
You'd write poetry for my eyes only
Ecstatic as a lark, I'd surely be
Now you are gone, disappeared without trace
In midst of silence my lonesome heart aches.
I have adored you from when we started
How I wish that we had never parted
Mister magnifico you were to me
My romeo, my buzzing honeybee.
We won't be singing love songs anymore
I’m heartbroken and will wait evermore
To dance in your arms o’er rainbows again
Should we reunite in heaven’s domain.
Just for you whom I’m delirious for
The key to my heart’s at destiny’s door.
