It's growing on me. I've always liked sonnets the best. When I was young, I wrote dozens of songs, then got into rhyme and sonnets in college. Thanks for the visit, Karen. Bill

I can imagine that is a thing, but this short poem is very depressing.

I agree, Miranda, it can be depressing. It's all dependent on one's view point. All things in creation, come into form and then go out of form. It's the life / death cycle. When it's time, it isn't depressive unless one believes death is depressive, or going out of form is depressive. In my humble opinion. Everyone is welcome to see it from their own view point. Read some of my other poems, most are very positive and uplifting. :-) Have a great week! Bill

yes, one HAS to have shelter in those cold mountains. I enjoyed this one, Bill.

True Tom, I've been caught out in the cold unprepared myself. It can be quite terrifying. Your Texas friend, Bill

I think about the animals and wonder how they survive but I guess many times some don't. I enjoyed reading your reality check poem. Thanks for dropping by my page. They have diagnosed our son-in-law with gall stones. They kept him overnight. We appreciate the prayers. Sara

A very emotive haiku Bill. I think most about the animals in winter as they are not able to find shelter as easily as humans. Have a beautiful holiday. Blessings xxoo

Hi Bill. It fits the Haiku form if it's about animals. They're written about nature, and no words are capitalized except proper names, etc. I look forward to reading many more from you now. Like writing limericks, they're addictive.

Thank you for your kind informative and helpful words Lin. I just clicked on Hailu here on Poetry Soup for an example and tried to write one. It said ti mention a season in first line, Nature in second line and combine in third line. Confusing ... their examples, first: Angels children, second: people under a bridge. They didn't seem to match the definition to me. Your words were most helpful. Thank you, Bill I written Limericks in school, but I get very funny and silly when I write them. lol
