I looked out my window on Christmas day
Flakes of snow falling no soul to be seen
A carpet of white where settling snow lay
Kids broke the silence with “Santa has been”.
Downstairs I went paper strewn all around
Their smiling faces a sight to behold
Loud squeals of delight a beautiful sound
A shame I thought that we have to grow old.
Many won’t celebrate Christmas today
With wars and terror and no yuletide cheer
So do pray for them on this joyful day
No peace for them only horror and fear.
In our world today there is so much hate
Lets all strive for peace before it’s too late.
(gift for a lady)
