Caterpillar: Us and God

I
In a way, He cannot enjoy the physical world
Fallen Eden or Fallen Earth, though he gave them birth
So he grows eyes where caterpillars have legs
But this is the most gorgeous, gigantic 'pillar
Billions and billions of eyes like galaxies
Encompassing all the senses and human skin
To feel what men and women feel, to experience
After all, He is the All in All, One in All
Humans, on the other hand, have one eye's view
That unique (Personal) perspective, seeing Other
Eyes, but not the entire body, the future butterfly

II
O Eye of God, enjoy this human experience
Don't take it so personally - you are vital, but many
Together He experiences us and Himself, Creation ...
Without having to always take birth as Jesus
So, we are not much more than our perspectives
Our wisdom is all what we experienced, recall -
But unless we keep the eye healthy we may never see
That All-Beauty-Defying, Ever Flying, Butterfly

Hi Anil, I love your conception of God as expressed here! "...But this is the most gorgeous, gigantic 'pillar Billions and billions of eyes like galaxies..." There is the sense that God is at once separate from us and paradoxically the same as us. This strikes me as a monistic sense of God as everything. I am reminded of Whitman and Spinoza. Well done, my friend!

Hello Anil ... if only humanity could see our world through the eyes of all. Perhaps there might be a little more compassion - thank you Anil - Lindsay

Anil, while reading this poem, a thought just came to me. God, is seeing and all knowing. If we could see though His eyes, What would the world look like. Prayers and Blessings ~ Debra

True.... humans have only a personal one sided perspective got through their limited experience. To see all beauty, we have to open our eyes wider ! A profound write Anil !

Praise the LORD, sister Valsa. I write as if theres no tomorrow - because of access to internet issues and coming busy Church season. We pray for each other, all nations, and the Gospel to reach hearts and souls. shalom, shalom
