Evening casts her dusky gown. The air becomes fresh and restful. That welcome amber glow, the time for slower thoughts, has arrived. I pause in joyful reflection feeling the soothing breeze, becoming absorbed in the music of the crickets and letting the gentle energy of nature wash over me.
awesome is the eve so much so, the earth herself pauses to catch her breath

Ah dear sweet sara, i had to literally stop, and catch my breath as i read your beautifully crafted haibun, the way you paint imagery has a feminine and refreshing touch that truly gets me captivated, and i keep saying this, and i will never get tired of telling you this i suppose. From dusky gown to music of crickets, and joyful reflection that youv described, we can feel as readers truly, i love the haiku too at the end, reminds me once again to connect to nature, mindfulness, fave this is!

I agree, Sotto. Evening is a spectacular time of day. When I see a sunset I feel a deep sigh as I let go of the day with its obligations and responsibilities. Thanks for your visit and your generous comments. Have a great evening, your poetess friend in Texas, Sara

Oh my, you've captured the true essence of magical sunset here, dear beautiful Sara..What a magnificent haibun once again, I'm enchanted by the elegant personification of evening, as a graceful lady who "casts her dusky gown" Ahh, that's absolutely profound and so riveting! You really inspired me with your words and somehow what a coincidence, I was working on a sunset related poem today and now, I'm reading this by you, yours is absolutely flawless."the earth herself pauses to catch her breath

I always find it quite a peaceful time as the day comes to a close and everything slows down. With just the sounds of the crickets chirping that adds to the tranquil landscape. Hope you have a lovely week ahead Sara. Tom
