Breathless Sun
The boughs have all but broken
winds drift silently searching
streams rising out of a desert
cradling close what's left of me
Temporarily the pause stings
missing moments meant to hold
off fears gorgeous set me free
whisper secrets meant to be
Comfort stage your place on the X
and the O's of heartstrings playing on
palpitating the pulse felt deep inside
rewinding endless soulful sounds of love
Curl with me the corner of your lips
kiss me in the cycle of your dreams
ride off with me into last gasps
of the final breathless sun
