Bread Water, flour, yeast, butter and SALT! It is so very basic. It rises early and rests late. You can make sandwiches, toast with fruit jelly, and… toast from a foreign land. (French) Lovely, grilled cheese, held closely… embraced, sweetly by your comforting arms. Burned with ketchup for my son. Oh, and those that know who you are. The makers, the bakers, the politicians that talk. Break bread between yourselves, make peace. The simple loaves, A true miracle performed… Fed, the greatest of masses! Come close and hear his words they are still… fresh as bread... made daily.

It's hard to break bread with someone when they call you evil but a great poem with a few layers to it. Have a good day my friend.

Yes...I have someone(s), that would not want bread broken but other things. Can not let them have free rent. They are booted. Forgiveness is King, not for them, but ...me...Now they no longer live where they are not welcome. Free is best... Thank you for your kind remarks. A day full of surprises to you... wishfully thought... Ann

You are so kind my friend. Humbly I thank you. Ann (little flowers, seeds sown along the pathway from one friend to the next, ever watered by the rain and warmed by the sun) Ann

I love how you translated bread into the movements of life, especially the last stanza, so warm and buttery...

I found a bread machine recently at a thrift shop. I have had the best fun from this crazy machine that dances all around the cabinet. LOL... Ty for your kind comments. Ann
